In 2005, I enlisted 19 Florida bands, playing the Florida Warped Tour, to join Bleed The Dream in
compiling a benefit CD to honor their departed drummer, Scott Gottlieb, who lost his battle with
leukemia and to put into action Jack Mannequin's Andrew McMahon's call to donate to pediatric
cancer research and to encourage blood donation.

In 2006, Bands Doing Battle raised funds for 1-800-SUICIDE, in memory of Coach Dungy's son,
Eric, and organized a post Warped Tour benefit concert and auction to help Brad Andress, the 20
year old Close To Home bassist, who valiantly battled liposarcoma twice, until he was taken
"home" on October 6th, 2006.

In 2007, Bands Doing Battle promoted a nation-wide blood drive, to honor Brad's memory, on what
would have been Brad's 21st birthday.  BDB later supported Driving For Donors, 12 year old Pat
Pedraja, who realized his dream to do nationwide bone marrow registration drives while battling
leukemia himself, resulting in Pat being awarded the 2007 CNN Heroes Viewer's Choice.

In 2008, Bands Doing Battle was again touched by the story of 16 year old Carli Slack's battle with
leukemia and a fungal infection. The outpouring of prayer and the family's faith and dedication to
their daughter's care and their financial need has called us again to action.
